Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and ship AWS DMS control-plane features for replication-instance provisioning and lifecycle management, task orchestration, host management, and APIs.
- Own deployment and release systems, including deployment pipelines, OS patching, and safe global fleet-rollout mechanisms.
- Deliver security and compliance improvements that protect customer data and keep the service secure.
- Design alarms, monitors, automated safeguards, and recovery tooling to improve operational excellence.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, release management, and the deployment cadence.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, triage production incidents, and drive issues to resolution.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
