Responsibilities
- Capture, analyze, document, and translate technical and product requirements into actionable software development tasks.
- Design, develop, maintain, and integrate scalable software solutions using C# and associated technologies.
- Build and enhance user workflows, interfaces, and user experience features for clinical applications.
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from design and development through deployment and support.
- Write unit tests, support CI/CD processes, conduct peer code reviews, and promote development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system faults across development, testing, and production environments.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and DevOps teams on manual and automated testing and reliable delivery.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and support continuous improvement, refactoring, and technical excellence.
- Ensure development complies with the software development lifecycle, ISO 13485, and FDA Medical Device Design Control requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
- At least 7 years of experience developing applications with C#/.NET in a Windows environment.
- Experience developing and supporting full-stack web and desktop applications using Microsoft technologies.
- Strong knowledge of ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience developing software across Windows, web browsers, and mobile-enabled environments.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including testing, code reviews, and source control.
- Experience working within Agile software development teams.
- Desirable experience with DICOM and non-DICOM medical imaging formats, image visualization and rendering technologies, DICOM communications, Web DICOM (DICOM-RS), and RESTful web APIs.
- Desirable experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, cloud-based development, deployment and automation, regulated medical-device software, and unit and component testing.
- Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, C/C++, VB, and SQL is desirable.
- Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, and Jenkins is desirable.
- Experience delivering complex software projects in a fast-paced Agile environment is desirable.
