Responsibilities

Define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new and existing software programs and applications.
Participate in code and design reviews and brainstorming sessions.
Develop program and system documentation.
Analyze and resolve software errors accurately and promptly.
Consult with users, architects, project leaders, and management to resolve problems and suggest alternatives.
Learn and use the tools and software development techniques practiced within the IT Division.

Be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
Have completed at least two years of coursework toward the degree.
Knowledge of Java and RESTful services is strongly preferred.
Experience with a modern integrated development environment is strongly preferred.
Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, React, Angular, container deployments, and source control management software is a plus.
Demonstrate enthusiasm for finding and implementing solutions to new challenges.
Be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Full-time Monday-through-Friday summer internship.
In-person work arrangement in Lansing, Michigan.
Interns may choose their start and end dates; most work from mid-May through mid-August.
