Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, debug, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, and code reviews for robust, scalable web services.
- Improve existing codebases, identify quality issues and patterns, and develop standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues, customer support, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams on technical solutions.
- Investigate and apply relevant technologies while making independent technical decisions.
- Mentor less experienced developers and lead project work when needed.
Requirements
- At least five years of Java Full Stack Development experience.
- At least five years of Java Enterprise Edition experience.
- At least four years developing systems or software for large business environments.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, CI/CD DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- At least two years developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big-data systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, shell scripting, software security tools, cloud or AI modernization, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains is preferred or beneficial.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, organizational, customer-focus, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
