Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and performance improvement.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: experience with databases, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, APIs, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version-control systems, cloud troubleshooting, observability, AI-based coding tools, mentoring, and large-scale technical initiatives.
