Responsibilities
- Support software quality assurance activities across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop, review, execute, and document software verification and validation test plans, test cases, protocols, and reports.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, application, and API testing across applicable software systems.
- Identify, document, investigate, retest, and close software defects and verify implemented fixes.
- Review software requirements and deliverables for completeness, consistency, clarity, traceability, and testability.
- Maintain traceability among software requirements, risk controls, test cases, and verification evidence using RTMs or similar tools.
- Support software change management, impact assessments, regression testing, configuration and release traceability, and documentation updates.
- Prepare and maintain validation and quality documentation and support audit readiness, internal and external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Collaborate with R&D, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required.
- 0–2 years of experience in software testing, software quality assurance, software validation, software development, or a related technical role.
- Familiarity with web and application testing, UI defects, functional errors, responsiveness, and software quality issues.
- Exposure to REST API development and testing, including requests, responses, HTTP methods, status codes, CRUD operations, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Exposure to Python, Flask or Django, frontend-to-backend integration, debugging, and relational databases such as MySQL or MariaDB.
- Basic understanding of SDLC, software verification and validation, configuration management, version control, release traceability, and quality processes.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, risk management, change management, and documentation control.
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or equivalent hands-on experience in software testing, application development, API development/testing, or software quality is preferred.
- Experience documenting defects, verifying fixes, working with regulated industries, and collaborating cross-functionally is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, communication, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills are expected.
