Responsibilities
- Design and evolve robust distributed systems while balancing scalability, latency, consistency, and fault tolerance.
- Develop and maintain high-performance Java backend services and APIs using Spring and Spring Boot.
- Optimize end-to-end latency, asynchronous processing, and efficient I/O.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through profiling, benchmarking, and load testing.
- Integrate financial platforms and third-party services while ensuring correctness, data integrity, and operational resilience.
- Design reliable messaging and integration flows using JPA, JDBC templates, JMS, and event-driven patterns.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient code and participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Apply financial-grade engineering principles including auditability, security, and controlled change.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, building, and operating mission-critical financial systems.
- Proven expertise in Java-based backend architectures, distributed systems, low-latency systems, and high-availability services.
- Experience with Core Java, Collections, JSON, JDBC, the Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven design, and containerization.
- Experience with JPA, JDBC, relational databases, and JMS.
- Experience with Unix/Linux and bash scripting.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, API security, and IAM concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong code review practices and commitment to code quality.
- Financial industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate in a global team and work in an agile environment with a strong ownership, performance, quality, and reliability focus.
