Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the platform that orchestrates the automated synthesis lab.
- Build workflow orchestration for multi-step synthesis pipelines.
- Design and implement instrument scheduling systems.
- Ensure complete data provenance for every sample and action.
- Build React interfaces for visibility into experiment state and system health.
- Work with infrastructure and lab engineering to maintain system reliability.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in scientific processes.
Requirements
- Experience building production MES, LIMS, ERP, or process control systems.
- Knowledge of workflow and DAG orchestration.
- Experience with concurrent systems and resource contention handling.
- Proficiency in data modeling for audit and provenance use cases.
- Full-stack development experience with Python, React, and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with scheduling algorithms for shared resources.
- Experience in physical lab, manufacturing, or materials environments.
