Responsibilities
- Interpret software requirements specifications and program, implement, and maintain web-based and client-based .NET applications.
- Develop applications according to ASP.NET standards using SOA architectures and Microsoft technologies.
- Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews.
- Create technical documentation and consume SOAP web services.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to an offshore development team.
- Work with Agile processes and Team Foundation Server, including user stories, bugs, enhancements, and burndown tracking.
- Integrate Microsoft technologies with other platforms such as J2EE and support the Microsoft BI stack.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a .NET development environment.
- Experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, IIS, VB.NET, and strong web development.
- Knowledge of DHTML, JavaScript, DOM Level 2, XHTML, HTML, client- and server-side scripting, and dynamic manipulation of client-side HTML elements.
- Experience working with decentralized or offshore development teams.
- Experience integrating Microsoft technologies with other technologies such as J2EE.
- Experience with Agile development and Team Foundation Server.
- Experience with stfSoft and the full Microsoft BI stack, including SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, and SharePoint.
- Experience with SOAP web services, Visual Source Safe, Microsoft Report Analysis Service, and XBRL.
- Strong communication skills.
- Undergraduate degree such as a BA or BS, or 5 years of IT experience.
