Base Salary
$76k - $92k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, specify, design, code, and test firmware for new metering products.
- Repair and enhance existing products based on customer feedback and other issues.
- Create tools for testing, debugging, designing, and programming activities.
- Provide technical support for current and legacy meter functionality.
- Create technical documentation.
- Follow company values, the Code of Conduct, ethics policies, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Represent the company professionally when working with internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2–5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Experience programming in C and C++.
- Firmware development experience for embedded systems, including development and debugging tools.
- Experience with unit testing and test automation.
- Real-time operating systems, product lifecycle and software development methodologies, wireless communication, and networking protocols are preferred or desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, requirements management, and bug management tools is desirable.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a typical office environment, use a computer for extended periods, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to see, hear, and speak in English.
