Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day bring-up, readiness, maintenance, and operational support for lab systems, racks, benches, test equipment, and reference platforms.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain server, GPU, FPGA, client AI, mobile AI, analyzer, and environmental test equipment.
- Build reproducible validation environments covering BIOS, BMC, firmware, operating systems, drivers, networking, remote access, power, and thermal configurations.
- Enable memory trace capture, workload analysis, DRAM replay, and power and performance characterization with architecture and validation teams.
- Maintain asset tracking, configuration management, equipment allocation, calibration monitoring, customer concerns, and lab readiness processes.
- Develop Python, Shell, or similar automation for lab setup, health monitoring, regression execution, result collection, and reporting.
- Diagnose infrastructure issues across hardware, firmware, software, networking, power, thermal, and equipment-control domains.
- Support customer and partner enablement through system preparation, configuration optimization, debugging, and performance characterization while promoting safety and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in server architecture, system-level validation, platform bring-up, hardware/software debugging, or engineering lab infrastructure operations.
- Experience configuring and maintaining validation platforms, test equipment, protocol analyzers, power analyzers, oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, or similar laboratory assets.
- Experience developing automation solutions using Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with BIOS, BMC, firmware, operating systems, device drivers, networking, storage, power delivery, and thermal management concepts in lab environments.
- Preferred: master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
- Preferred: experience with DRAM, LPDDR, HBM, CXL, memory subsystem architecture, or memory validation workflows.
- Preferred: at least 2 years supporting AI, machine learning, HPC workloads, GPU platforms, or performance characterization.
- Preferred: experience with CUDA, ROCm, DRAMSim3, Ramulator2, trace capture/replay methodologies, FPGA platforms, hardware prototyping, protocol debugging, multi-site lab operations, or equipment lifecycle management.
