Responsibilities
- Architect and lead scalable UI and API automation frameworks for multi-tier enterprise applications.
- Operationalize AI-driven tools and autonomous agents to accelerate test creation, expand coverage, generate synthetic data, and identify defects earlier.
- Build and optimize automated API, backend, functional, integration, performance, and UAT test suites.
- Integrate automated testing gates and validations into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, and Harness.
- Maintain hands-on Java and Python automation expertise with Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, TestNG, and Cucumber/BDD.
- Plan and govern testing strategies with technology project managers and business stakeholders.
- Perform root-cause analysis of defect trends, environmental failures, and production incidents.
- Enforce traceability across user stories, test definitions, execution runs, and defect management systems.
- Define and report quality engineering metrics including automation pass rates, defect leakage, AI acceleration ROI, and test coverage.
- Mentor and coach distributed junior, mid-level, and senior QA engineers and drive AI-tool adoption.
- Assess risks, support compliance with applicable laws and policies, and escalate control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 10–12+ years of progressive experience in IT QA engineering, SDET, software engineering, or test architecture.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience integrating Devin AI, Friday.AI, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and visual AI testing tools into testing workflows.
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining enterprise-scale UI, API, and microservices automation frameworks.
- Strong Java, Python, object-oriented design, Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, Cucumber, and REST Assured experience.
- Experience with API performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Deep understanding of test-data management, parameterized data provisioning, and AI-based synthetic data generation.
- Experience embedding automated test suites into CI/CD build and release pipelines with automated gate validation.
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Behavior-Driven Development practices.
- Ability to lead and mentor distributed on-site and offshore QA engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
- Banking, financial services, or complex banking business-systems experience is preferred.
