Responsibilities
- Conduct and design automated and manual tests for primary sequencing software.
- Create and complete test cases, test plans, automated tests, and reports against functional and non-functional requirements.
- Test software releases and design tests to mitigate risk.
- Perform desktop, tablet, and mobile platform testing across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
- Write bug reports and provide objective feedback to software development teams.
- Communicate testing findings to technical and non-technical colleagues while working toward project deadlines.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience and professional qualifications.
- Experience with automated testing and proven knowledge of testing desktop and/or mobile software.
- Programming experience with a language such as Python or JavaScript.
- Experience writing automated tests with frameworks such as Pytest, Jest, Robot, or Behave.
- Experience writing UI tests with WebdriverIO, Cypress, or a Selenium-based framework.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, organization, and ability to work under pressure.
- Preferred experience includes Behaviour Driven Development, REST API or gRPC, Docker, Linux/Unix, JIRA, XRay Test Management for JIRA, and medical device software testing.
