Responsibilities
- Own QA strategy for full-stack products and translate requirements and acceptance criteria into structured, prioritized, traceable test cases.
- Convert manual tests into automated end-to-end, API, regression, integration, and contract tests while expanding coverage for high-risk areas.
- Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks, test data, fixtures, and execution environments.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments.
- Investigate and triage failures, create reproducible defect reports, and follow issues through resolution with development teams.
- Define and report quality metrics including coverage, pass rate, flakiness, and defect escape rate.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, clients, and partners to build testability into products and document test plans, results, and assurance evidence.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on software quality assurance experience with a strong test automation component.
- Experience building automated test suites for web applications and/or backend APIs.
- Programming skills in at least one test-automation language such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with web UI automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Experience with API and service-level automation, REST/HTTP interfaces, authentication flows, and integration or contract testing.
- Experience with test frameworks and runners such as pytest, Jest, Vitest, JUnit, or TestNG, including maintainable and deterministic test code.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, and containerized test execution with Docker.
- Comfort with Linux, the command line, Git, and application and system logs.
- Ability to write precise defect reports, test plans, and test reports; proficiency in English and strong communication, ownership, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred experience includes security-oriented testing, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, input fuzzing, performance or load testing with k6, JMeter, or Locust, databases, message queues, infrastructure-as-code, and reproducible environment provisioning.
