Responsibilities
- Operate, configure, optimize, and maintain hybrid on-premises and cloud-native systems.
- Manage Linux and Windows systems and support site reliability and platform stability.
- Respond to incidents, manage major incidents within SLA scope, and coordinate root cause analysis for P1/P2 incidents.
- Perform vulnerability patching, system upgrades, migrations, deployments, and preventive risk mitigation.
- Configure monitoring and log management tools and analyze application and garbage-collection logs for troubleshooting.
- Develop automation scripts, support shift-left and self-service initiatives, and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain data integrity and access controls and strategize cloud cost optimization.
- Collaborate with internal specialist teams and third-party suppliers to deliver client results.
- Maintain technical documentation, training materials, ticket records, and service metrics.
- Participate in Agile planning, retrospectives, showcases, and other operational processes.
- Work in shifts and communicate effectively with stakeholders and service managers.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience installing, configuring, and managing Linux and Windows systems.
- Strong experience managing public clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience configuring monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix.
- Experience with Java application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, or Tomcat, including application and GC log analysis.
- Experience with log management tools such as ELK or Loki.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases including MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.
- Graduation is required.
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation is an added advantage.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes is an added advantage.
- Experience with a scripting language such as Python is an added advantage.
- Prior experience with Jira, Confluence, or another service management tool is required or preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical aptitude, organized and process-driven work habits, and a customer-focused track record are expected.
- Prior Agile experience and understanding of ITIL practices are advantageous.
- Willingness to work in shifts is required.
