Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units and engineering team members to understand and document requirements.
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable services and APIs for the equity investments platform.
- Build cloud-native AWS microservices and support on-premises systems using distributed computing principles.
- Create unit, integration, functional, and performance tests.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor new or less senior developers.
- Share knowledge and improve development processes and team productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE software design and development experience.
- Strong understanding of core language features, multithreading, thread safety, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Redis, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Experience with test-driven development, JUnit, mocking, version control systems such as Git or SVN, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- C# experience is a plus.
- Effective communication skills with business users and developers, plus the ability to become a subject matter expert in assigned areas.
- Familiarity with AI and related technologies and the ability to apply them in a business or technical context.
