Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead MariaDB performance, reliability, and scalability optimization efforts.
- Analyze and resolve operational challenges for mission-critical systems.
- Guide teams in designing, implementing, and maintaining performant data pipelines.
- Improve infrastructure through monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting MariaDB systems.
- Define best practices for database backup, recovery, and high availability.
- Lead discussions on operations, scalability, and architecture for database and data warehouse systems.
- Contribute from conceptual design through implementation, deployment, and optimization.
- Mentor team members on database and Lakehouse optimization techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in database operations and optimization with hands-on MariaDB expertise.
- Proven experience improving performance and scalability in complex database environments.
- Extensive software development experience using Java, Python, Go, Rust, or other relevant languages.
- At least 3 years of cloud computing experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, focused on database and data-processing workloads.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role setting direction for database and system optimization projects.
- Hands-on experience with Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with global stakeholders.
Benefits
- Base salary ranges from $166,800 to $241,800 per year, with a typical new-hire starting range of $166,800 to $223,050; additional compensation may include profit sharing and incentive bonuses.
