Applied AI/ML Lead
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Lead AI/ML programs, provide direction for large initiatives, and help define problem statements and execution roadmaps.
- Develop machine learning and deep learning models for NLP, personalization, recommendation, document Q&A, search, information retrieval, and classification.
- Build and operationalize end-to-end ML, AutoML, and AutoNLP pipelines with batch and real-time prediction capabilities.
- Integrate model pipelines with existing applications and front-end systems and deploy solutions into production.
- Design experiments and training frameworks and evaluate intrinsic and extrinsic model-performance metrics against business goals.
- Collaborate with product owners, software engineers, data engineers, business teams, and other partner functions to identify and deliver impactful projects.
- Explain complex technical concepts and results to senior leaders and technical and business stakeholders.
- Provide regular team updates, maintain transparency into priorities and deliverables, and promote a positive, high-performing team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematical Sciences, or Machine Learning, with a strong mathematics and statistics background.
- At least 7 years of experience applying data science and machine learning techniques to business problems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C, or C++.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, generative AI, NLP, machine learning, and deep learning methods.
- At least 1 year of experience working with generative AI solutions or LLMs such as GPT, Claude, or Llama.
- Extensive experience with machine learning and deep learning toolkits, including Transformers, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, or Pandas.
- Experience with big data, scalable model training, ML model deployment on AWS, and AWS services such as SageMaker, EC2, and Glue.
- Understanding of active learning, agent or multi-agent learning, and learning from supervision or feedback.
- Ability to work independently through project completion, collaborate effectively, communicate technical concepts clearly, and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Preferred qualifications include published ML, deep learning, or reinforcement learning research; A/B experimentation and metric-driven product development experience; and production-quality coding, debugging, continuous integration, and unit-test development experience.
