Responsibilities

  • Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application deployments with internal and global IT teams.
  • Design and implement software-defined infrastructure using Microsoft Azure standards and best practices.
  • Improve site reliability and operational service-level objectives, including uptime, performance, resolution time, and incident response.
  • Build automation and tools for build, release, scaling, and operational processes.
  • Implement observability through analytics, health monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with IT, cloud operations, information security, and product engineering teams to resolve infrastructure and delivery issues.
  • Understand application code, dependencies, and runtime infrastructure while partnering with development teams.
  • Coordinate across Global Architecture, Cloud Operations, and Order Management teams.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and lead initiatives that streamline operations and maximize availability.

Requirements

  • Experience creating and maintaining Microsoft Azure environments with infrastructure as code.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and build and deployment automation using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience implementing observability, continuous health monitoring, alerting, analytics, and troubleshooting in 24/7 environments.
  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps and SRE concepts, including performance, load, and security testing strategies.
  • Scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, or Python and experience with source control using Git.
  • Understanding of application architectures, design patterns, and web and mobile deployment methodologies.
  • Debugging skills, sound judgment, risk assessment, urgency, communication, collaboration, and adaptability.
  • Ability to work from the Carmel, Indiana office two to three times per week.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, SonarQube, and polyglot development experience with C#, Angular, or React.
