Responsibilities
- Assist with software development, enhancements, bug fixes, and modifications to existing software.
- Perform software and system testing, including data collection, behavior verification, and test-case execution.
- Reproduce and investigate bugs, analyze software behavior, document findings, and verify fixes.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation covering test results, procedures, software changes, and technical findings.
- Work on defined engineering tasks and small projects, potentially involving hardware, test equipment, or other system components.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Intermediate proficiency in both C and C++ through coursework, academic projects, personal projects, or prior work experience.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar software, tools, technologies, and existing codebases.
- Preferred experience includes debugging software, using debugging tools, modifying unfamiliar codebases, and developing Windows desktop user interfaces.
- Preferred experience includes Microsoft Visual Studio in a Windows environment, independent initiative, C#, Git or another source control system, networking concepts, hardware/software interfaces, and software or system testing.
