Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java/Spring and Python.
- Build software across the full lifecycle, including frontend development where needed, automated testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and requirements translation.
- Design and maintain observability integrations and custom monitoring solutions across enterprise platforms.
- Develop telemetry pipelines, instrumentation, health checks, synthetic monitoring, and self-healing automation.
- Develop and support infrastructure integrations with enterprise monitoring, telemetry, and ITSM platforms.
- Drive software quality, security, automated test coverage, secure development, peer review, vulnerability scanning, and coding and architectural standards.
- Build and maintain containerized delivery and deployment pipelines for secure, automated promotion from development through production.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools and emerging AI capabilities to improve development productivity and solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver business value.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs with Java/Spring and Python.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, telemetry integrations, instrumentation, health checks, synthetic monitoring, and service-resilience automation.
- Experience with containerized delivery and deployment pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD platforms.
- Knowledge of automated testing, test-driven approaches, secure software development, vulnerability scanning, code review, and engineering standards.
- Ability to collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, QA, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into high-quality, maintainable code.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools or emerging AI capabilities is relevant to the role.
