Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and own backend tools, services, platforms, and frameworks for development, delivery, and quality.
- Explore and adopt AI-assisted engineering approaches to improve software delivery efficiency and quality.
- Improve development environments and pipelines so engineers and coding agents can validate changes quickly.
- Build tooling and processes for complex workflows such as pull request review scaling and AI-assisted merge pipelines.
- Make Vinted’s codebase, context, conventions, scaffolding, and guardrails effective for AI-generated code.
- Own solutions end-to-end from research and design through implementation, adoption, and operation.
- Influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of engineering best practices across teams.
Requirements
- Substantial experience designing, building, and operating backend systems, platforms, or developer tools used at scale.
- Proven experience shipping tools, platforms, or services that other engineers depend on.
- Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Practical understanding of the limits and risks of LLM-based tools and how to design around them.
- Strong thought leadership, technical influence, mentoring, and cross-team adoption skills.
- Heavy use of AI to improve engineering work and enthusiasm for helping other engineers use it effectively.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Hands-on experience with Go, Kubernetes, developer tooling, or CI/CD systems is a plus.
- Experience working in platform-like teams is a plus.
