Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and enhance high-quality Android applications.
- Collaborate with designers, product owners, QA engineers, and developers to deliver features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code across modern and legacy codebases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and defects.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop unit, integration, and automated tests.
- Integrate mobile applications with backend services and APIs.
- Design scalable solutions for complex and open-ended business requirements.
Requirements
- Experience building and maintaining Android applications.
- Strong proficiency in Android development using Kotlin.
- Experience with Gradle, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and reactive development patterns.
- Experience with performance analysis, application optimization, legacy-code modernization, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with open-source frameworks and development practices.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Candidates must currently reside in the UK and be available to start within four weeks of receiving an offer.
