Responsibilities
- Architect and lead enterprise-scale Snowflake Cortex AI solutions, including Cortex AISQL, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex Agents, Document AI, and fine-tuning.
- Design and implement RAG pipelines using Cortex Search, vector embeddings, chunking, retrieval, and reranking strategies.
- Build conversational analytics and text-to-SQL experiences over governed semantic models with defined evaluation criteria.
- Apply Cortex LLM functions in SQL and Python workflows and configure Cortex Sense for shared business context.
- Expose Cortex Agents, semantic views, and search services through Snowflake-managed MCP servers.
- Define the technical architecture and multi-year roadmap for Snowflake AI and data platforms.
- Lead scalable data pipeline, data modeling, data warehousing, Snowpark, Snowflake ML, and model operationalization initiatives.
- Oversee pipeline orchestration and establish architectural, governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews across data engineering teams.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify AI/ML use cases, mentor senior technical staff, and guide Snowflake best-practice adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics, or AI/ML architecture.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including enterprise-scale data platform architecture.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities.
- Strong experience with Snowflake Cortex AI, generative AI fundamentals, and enterprise AI/ML solutions.
- Experience with Snowflake CoCo, Cortex Sense, Snowflake-managed MCP servers, Snowpark, Snowflake ML, Model Registry, feature engineering, and inference at scale.
- Expert-level Python and strong SQL skills, with experience in scalable data pipelines, ETL, data modeling, and data warehousing.
- Experience conducting architecture reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Snowflake certifications such as SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced Architect are preferred.
