Base Salary

$129k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality systems and protocols for software processing.
  • Collaborate with software and systems engineering teams to establish and maintain quality standards.
  • Devise and implement software testing and evaluation methods, including inspection and testing processes and equipment.
  • Witness factory and site acceptance tests and support observation reporting, traceability, and test-failure monitoring.
  • Audit quality systems, identify deficiencies, and verify that corrective actions meet reliability standards.
  • Ensure software quality documentation complies with applicable requirements.
  • Support software engineering metrics and reporting for epics, sprints, spirals, discrepancy reports, and related Scrum activities.
  • Participate in code, peer, and technical documentation reviews and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8 years of professional experience, or a master’s degree with 6 years, or a PhD with 4 years.
  • Active Top Secret clearance at application with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining AS9100-based quality systems.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, practices, and theories.
  • Strong knowledge of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Proficiency with test-automation frameworks and embedding automated tests into CI pipelines.
  • Competence in a high-level programming language used for test scripts.
  • Experience with software configuration control, software metrics, reporting, reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Active participation in sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally while maintaining an independent role reporting to Mission Assurance.
  • Preferred experience with DOORS, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, SAP Business Suite, root cause investigations, and AS9100 auditing or auditor training.
