Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust software solutions for satellite vehicle systems.
- Contribute to architecture and software development for reliable, secure satellite over-the-air update capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot support issues, triage bugs, and maintain satellite system operations.
- Identify and resolve root causes of persistent software problems while simplifying existing systems.
- Write and review code, participate in design discussions, and balance feature development with responsive operational troubleshooting.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
