Responsibilities
- Define ADAS platform reference architectures across SoC platforms, sensor suites, and vehicle configurations.
- Lead MBSE adoption using SysML, AUTOSAR Architect, and related toolchains.
- Drive systems engineering strategy for SDV ADAS, including zone controller integration, vehicle OS service interfaces, and centralized compute migration.
- Lead organizational functional safety strategy, including ASIL allocation, SEooC qualification, and dependent failure analysis.
- Align platform architectures with OEM and Tier 1 systems engineering teams.
- Govern SOTIF analysis, functional insufficiency analysis, and validation strategies across programs.
- Establish reusable ADAS systems engineering intellectual property, including architecture libraries, safety concept templates, and ICD formats.
- Govern ASPICE Level 3 SYS process compliance and define improvement plans for Level 4 and Level 5 readiness.
- Lead technical proposal development for high-value ADAS systems engineering engagements.
- Build systems engineering capability through training, a center of excellence, and expert mentoring.
- Contribute to ISO, SAE, and AUTOSAR safety standards activities.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 15 years of experience in ADAS, automotive embedded, or SDV domains is also stated.
- Mastery of ADAS systems engineering, architecture, functional safety management, and requirements engineering is required.
- Expert experience applying ISO 26262 Parts 3 and 4 and SOTIF/ISO 21448 across production programs is required.
- Experience defining platform-level ADAS architectures across SoC generations, sensor configurations, and OEM programs is required.
- Deep MBSE expertise with SysML-based system design and model-driven requirements management is required.
- Experience governing ASPICE-compliant systems engineering organizations and driving process improvement is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with OEM Chief Engineers and systems engineering teams on complex ADAS platform programs is required.
- A track record delivering systems engineering for high-complexity, high-volume ADAS production programs is required.
- Experience with ADAS homologation, including UNECE R152 and R157 technical dossiers and type approval, is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCFA and DFA at portfolio level is preferred.
- Exposure to federated, zonal, and flat-network SDV electrical/electronic architectures is preferred.
- Understanding of SOTIF 2.0 trends and Responsibility Sensitive Safety is preferred.
- A BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering with 15 years of full-time education is required.
