Base Salary
$108k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and testing of complex software components.
- Debug and troubleshoot advanced software issues.
- Write and maintain detailed code documentation.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure code quality and standards adherence.
- Support software integration with hardware systems.
- Define software requirements and specifications with stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance software performance and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- A higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java.
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Preferred experience with Linux/RHEL and Windows services.
- Preferred knowledge of tactical or moving-map software integration, hardware integration, and protocol development.
- Preferred aerospace and defense industry background.
- Preferred understanding of C#, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, WPF, and .NET.
- Preferred experience with requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repositories, and automated build tools.
- Preferred knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral methodologies and data structures.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.
