Base Salary
$205k - $355k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare datasets for machine learning models that make real-time platform decisions.
- Analyze large datasets and features to build low-latency machine learning models.
- Deploy machine learning models to production and integrate them into Nextdoor products.
- Run and analyze live user-facing experiments to improve model quality and business metrics.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, engineers, and other stakeholders to create optimal platform experiences.
- Help establish foundational patterns for future machine learning engineers.
- Participate in company trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, team-building activities, and in-person culture-building efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of industry or academic experience applying machine learning at scale.
- Experience building machine learning models for advertising products.
- Proven engineering ability, including writing and maintaining high-quality production code.
- Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data.
- Ability to succeed in a dynamic startup environment.
