Responsibilities
- Build foundational capabilities for Samsara’s agentic experiences.
- Design systems for high throughput, availability, observability, security, and maintainability.
- Apply AI assistants across design, implementation, testing, debugging, and code review.
- Improve frameworks, tooling, and engineering practices.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Champion Samsara’s cultural principles and lead an inclusive team.
Requirements
- Strong professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
- Enterprise experience with developer platforms, integration frameworks, or event-driven systems.
- Demonstrated experience operating production software at enterprise scale.
- Strong backend engineering skills, including API design and distributed systems.
- Experience delivering full-stack functionality and collaborating across frontend and backend.
- Expert knowledge of AI coding assistants such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
