Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and operate high-performance, highly available Linux-based systems.
- Build and evolve systems and infrastructure designs for large-scale deployments.
- Work across virtualization, cloud storage, networking and SDN, containerization, private-cloud security, and data pipelines or analytics.
- Contribute to open-source projects and use tools and frameworks common in the open-source community.
- Write and deliver technical presentations and papers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of systems development, deployment, and related operations experience.
- Extensive experience with Linux-based high-performance, highly available systems development.
- Experience with distributed systems, open-source development, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Experience in one or more relevant areas including virtualization management, cloud storage, networking and SDN, containerization, private-cloud security and AAA, or data pipelines and analytics.
- Practical experience designing, developing, and deploying systems at large scale.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical experience contributing to an open-source project.
- A B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is desired.
- Practical experience with Go is desired.
- Practical experience building systems on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCE is desired, with public cloud infrastructure-building experience highly desired.
