Base Salary
$140k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Invent new signals to improve search engine personalization.
- Train models that capture interactions between signals in ranking systems.
- Design methods for adapting language models to individual customer corpora.
- Develop ways to combine LLMs with search engines for complex question answering.
- Write robust, readable, maintainable, and testable production code.
- Design, build, and ship production-ready machine learning models.
- Interact with customers to understand pain points and solve impactful problems.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute across small tasks and large features.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience.
- BA or BS in computer science, mathematics, sciences, or a related field.
- Experience with search, recommendation, natural language processing, or other large systems involving machine learning.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with data.
- Proven ability to design, build, and ship production-ready models.
- Proficiency in an ML framework of choice.
- Strong coding skills in Python, Go, Java, C++, or similar languages.
- Ability to work effectively in a customer-focused, tight-knit, cross-functional environment.
- Proactive attitude with willingness to lead, learn, troubleshoot, and take ownership.
