Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the overall test strategy for the programme.
- Design test environments, test data, and supporting testing services.
- Provide technical leadership across testing, quality assurance, and acceptance activities.
- Establish effective test approaches, standards, and best practices with delivery teams.
- Review and assure test plans and acceptance activities.
- Ensure business and technical requirements are fully covered.
- Identify and manage testing risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, project teams, and technical specialists.
- Promote modern testing practices, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate testing decisions and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience developing test strategies and leading testing activities within complex programmes.
- Strong understanding of the full software testing lifecycle.
- Experience with automated and manual functional, non-functional, integration, and acceptance testing.
- Experience testing integrated solutions involving multiple applications, services, and third-party systems.
- Knowledge of modernisation and transformation programmes, including transitions from legacy systems to new platforms.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with complex systems integration or transformation programmes is desirable.
- Knowledge of data-intensive solutions and testing approaches is desirable.
- Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring team members is desirable.
- Experience implementing modern test automation frameworks and practices is desirable.
- Knowledge of Air Traffic Management or similar operational environments is desirable.
- Relevant testing certifications such as ISTQB are welcomed but not essential.
- Ability to attain and maintain SC clearance.
