Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain reliable, available, and performant systems and APIs across AWS and GCP.
- Operationalize SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets with application teams.
- Build end-to-end observability and actionable monitoring across microservices and cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and blameless post-incident reviews.
- Manage production Kubernetes clusters and GitOps delivery workflows.
- Provision and secure multi-cloud infrastructure using modular Terraform configurations.
- Develop disaster-recovery dashboards, runbooks, failover automation, and validation tests.
- Write Python or Go automation to eliminate operational toil.
- Support cost allocation, resource right-sizing, and FinOps visibility for cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering for 24/7 mission-critical systems.
- Hands-on Python or Go programming experience for SRE tools, automation, and cloud integrations.
- Production Kubernetes operations and GitOps experience, including Argo CD.
- Experience writing and maintaining modular Terraform configurations.
- Experience operating cloud workloads on AWS or GCP, including relevant AWS networking and infrastructure services.
- Experience with FinOps, disaster recovery, monitoring, Datadog or similar tools, PagerDuty, and SLI/SLO frameworks.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting production service meshes and high-availability proxy solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and operational-efficiency skills.
- Preferred: experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab Pipelines, chaos engineering, secrets-management tools, and DevSecOps or infrastructure-as-code security scanning.
