Responsibilities
- Design and develop customer-specific reference architectures and working integrations for the Fortanix Confidential AI platform.
- Build connectors, workload tooling, and integrations with customers’ existing stacks and orchestration systems.
- Design attestation and key-release flows protecting customer workloads, keys, and models end to end.
- Scope and develop proofs of concept with clear success criteria and enterprise-focused designs.
- Translate field learnings into RFCs, feature designs, and product requirements with core product and engineering teams.
- Contribute code, reviews, and RFCs to the open-source community.
- Create reusable reference architectures, sample workloads, and design patterns.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience in systems, infrastructure, platform, or security engineering, including meaningful customer-facing experience.
- Strong Linux systems skills covering kernel boot, systemd, storage and filesystems, networking, and PCIe devices.
- Working experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Slurm is preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one of Rust, Go, or Python and ability to make targeted changes in unfamiliar codebases.
- Familiarity with cryptography and PKI, including certificates, key formats, TLS, signing, and key management concepts.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain attestation to CISOs and debug TDX quote failures with platform teams.
- Ability to work independently, set expectations, and escalate early.
