Responsibilities
- Define and lead an AI-first automation roadmap for engineering infrastructure and enterprise tooling.
- Architect and ship AI/LLM-enabled workflow automation across the software development lifecycle, including build, test, deployment, risk assessment, and incident response workflows.
- Establish policies and guardrails for internal AI tools, including data handling, prompt and response logging, model and provider selection, evaluation, fallback behavior, and abuse prevention.
- Set technical direction for globally used developer tools, source code management, branching and release strategies, and self-service support tools.
- Architect and scale CI/CD and build/test pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and build systems such as Bazel, BitBake, and Yocto.
- Own test and quality workflows using test management systems such as TestRail to support traceability, reporting, and release sign-off.
- Design Jira workflow automation and integrations for cross-organization visibility and execution.
- Automate cross-functional workflows involving Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Partners.
- Embed secure-by-default controls into pipelines and tooling, including access control, secrets handling, audit trails, and policy enforcement.
- Improve build and test performance, reliability, pipeline stability, and cost efficiency using measurable KPIs.
- Own cross-team architectures and standards, lead design reviews, mentor senior engineers, and resolve complex technical problems.
- Provide long-term stewardship through roadmaps, runbooks, SLOs, incident response, and postmortem practices for global operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience at Staff, Principal, or Architect level.
- Experience owning platform or infrastructure, developer productivity, CI/CD, build systems, or workflow automation across globally distributed teams and systems.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Docker, build systems such as BitBake or Yocto, Jira, and test management systems such as TestRail or equivalent.
- Experience delivering automation at scale through platforms or components used by multiple teams.
- Strong systems thinking across security, reliability, performance, and cost tradeoffs.
- Experience building AI-assisted developer tooling, such as CI insights, test intelligence, code review automation, release risk scoring, or incident copilots.
- Experience implementing AI system evaluation and monitoring, including quality metrics, drift detection, offline test sets, and human feedback loops.
- Extensive experience developing software on embedded Linux, including multi-process architectures and IPC mechanisms.
- Experience working in large cross-functional teams and influencing teams without direct authority.
- Excellent written communication and the ability to manage parallel projects and distributed teams.
