Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend services.
- Architect and implement data models, databases, and data pipelines for data processing, analysis, and storage.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, robotics engineers, and other stakeholders to define service requirements and integrate backend components.
- Optimize system performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve data flow and application responsiveness.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of distributed systems.
Requirements
- A solid academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- At least five years of hands-on experience developing production-ready backend software.
- Proficiency with backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, or C++.
- Experience designing and managing relational or NoSQL data storage solutions and building data-processing pipelines.
- Ability to learn and contribute effectively within sophisticated distributed backend systems and codebases.
- An active U.S. Top Secret security clearance that can be maintained.
- Strong understanding of computer systems and algorithms, plus motivation to develop mission-critical software.
