Responsibilities
- Design, build, configure, enhance, debug, test, and optimize custom software applications.
- Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using Scala, Spark, and AWS services.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to key technical decisions.
- Act as a subject matter expert and take responsibility for team decisions.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the team.
- Mentor junior team members and coordinate cross-functional communication.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience is required.
- Proficiency in Scala, Spark, Scala testing, and AWS services including Step Functions, CloudFormation, S3, KMS, Glue, EKS, IAM, SQS, and SNS.
- Strong experience applying functional programming concepts in software development.
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable Scala codebases.
- Familiarity with integrating Scala applications with data sources and APIs.
- Experience debugging, testing, and optimizing Scala applications for performance and reliability.
- Knowledge of concurrent and parallel programming within the Scala ecosystem.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Shell scripting, AI integration, Python, Iceberg, MongoDB, Kubernetes, GitHub, and TeamCity are good-to-have skills.
