Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded code for microgrid controllers and energy management systems controlling high-power devices.
- Work with the cloud development team on IoT and telemetry reporting.
- Develop algorithms for energy arbitrage, peak shaving, and related energy-management functions.
- Support software architecture, requirements analysis, and interface definition.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers on integration and product certification.
- Conduct system validation and verification using automated tools.
- Ensure system reliability and functional safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis of remote field issues.
- Write technical documentation for design concepts and product specifications.
Requirements
- Background in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant embedded software development experience using C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with Embedded Linux or another RTOS and a GUI framework is a plus.
- Strength in software design processes including peer reviews, version control, and issue tracking.
- Understanding of power electronics and battery systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including SPI, CANbus, and Modbus.
- Experience with Scrum or another Agile methodology is a plus.
