Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance security-operations and Security Fusion Centre capabilities.
- Integrate platforms, onboard data sources, automate manual activities, and develop scalable operational solutions.
- Retrieve, manipulate, and analyse large or complex datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards, reporting products, integrations, automations, and SOAR workflows.
- Work with stakeholders across multiple security and operational disciplines to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Manage assigned workstreams through discovery, design, build, testing, and implementation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows.
Requirements
- Experience in cyber security, engineering, technology, analytics, computer science, or a related discipline through education, professional experience, or equivalent practical application.
- Experience with Splunk or another enterprise SIEM platform, including searching, reporting, dashboards, and operational analysis.
- Experience analysing complex datasets using tools such as Excel, Splunk, SQL, Power BI, or similar technologies.
- Ability to interpret technical and operational data and translate findings into recommendations.
- Familiarity with SOAR platforms, workflow automation, APIs, case-management solutions, or system integrations.
- Ability to develop scripts or code using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience gathering requirements and contributing to practical technical solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, Tines, Cortex XSOAR, Swimlane, or similar technologies is useful but not essential.
- Experience in Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Fusion Centres, Fraud, Physical Security, Resilience, Risk, or data-driven reporting is useful but not essential.
- Relevant certifications from Splunk, Microsoft, ISC2, CompTIA, SANS, or Palo Alto Networks are useful but not essential.
