Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and best practices to junior QA engineers.
- Develop test plans and strategies from requirements and specifications.
- Design and execute manual and automated tests across functional, regression, performance, usability, and security areas.
- Identify, document, track, and help resolve software defects with development teams.
- Collect quality metrics and prepare test reports for stakeholders.
- Participate in design and code reviews from a QA perspective.
- Evaluate QA tools and technologies and maintain QA environments, tools, and test data.
- Assess release risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Develop automated scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and development teams on quality concerns.
- Ensure software meets internal standards, regulatory expectations, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with typically 5+ years of related experience, master’s degree with 3+ years, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience testing large-scale software and databases including MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Cloud experience, preferably AWS.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and with performance testing.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
- Experience with Jenkins and Selenium.
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Networking or cloud certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIP are a plus.
- ITSM data analysis, customer-facing content, product training, and mentoring experience are desirable.
