Senior Software Engineer - Quicksilver - Distributed Key Value

Responsibilities
- Develop new features for the globally distributed Quicksilver key-value store in Go.
- Review pull requests and maintain high code quality across the system.
- Improve system performance, including CPU and memory usage.
- Build and improve monitoring and operational tools in Go.
- Debug and investigate difficult-to-reproduce problems across multiple software layers.
- Own testing, deployment and rollback plans, operations, monitoring, alerting, debugging, and on-call support.
Requirements
- Experience writing robust systems with attention to code quality, performance, and technical debt.
- Experience with storage systems, peer-to-peer systems, large-scale distributed systems, or systems programming.
- Ability to investigate problems across multiple layers of a software stack.
- Autonomous, flexible, pragmatic, and capable of designing simple solutions to complex problems.
- Comfort with both low-level and high-level programming and an interest in programming languages.
- Ability to give and receive constructive design feedback collaboratively.
- Willingness to participate in outage response during antisocial hours.
