Responsibilities
- Execute assigned data validation, regression, reconciliation, and source-to-target tests according to practice templates and standards.
- Write and run SQL queries to verify row counts, reconciliations, transformations, and data quality rules.
- Document test results and defects in Azure DevOps with clear evidence, and retest fixes.
- Support test data preparation and environment readiness checks.
- Run assigned automated regression checks and report results.
- Participate in backlog refinement and daily scrum activities for the assigned team.
- Complete the practice onboarding program and certification track, including SQL, Python, and Databricks fundamentals.
- Use AI/LLM-powered tools such as Claude and Copilot under guidance to draft test cases and review queries, validating outputs before use.
Requirements
- 0 to 2 years of experience in QA testing, data analysis, or a related technical role; fresh graduates with strong SQL are welcome.
- Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregation, filtering, and basic reconciliation queries.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures precisely.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn Python, data warehouse concepts, and Databricks.
- Ability to work in an agile team and meet commitments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: exposure to Python, ETL/ELT concepts, or a data warehouse.
- Preferred: exposure to Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling.
- Preferred: ISTQB Foundation certification.
- Preferred: internship or project experience in banking or financial services.
