Responsibilities
- Advance search quality through models, data, tools, and other available approaches.
- Train and optimize large-scale deep learning models using PyTorch, PyTorch Distributed, DeepSpeed, FSDP, and hardware acceleration.
- Research representation learning, including contrastive, multilingual, evaluation, and multimodal modeling for search and retrieval.
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines for grounding and answer generation.
Requirements
- Understand search and retrieval systems, including quality evaluation principles and metrics.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with PyTorch, distributed training techniques, and performance optimization for large models.
- Have an interest in contrastive learning, dense and sparse vector representations, representation fusion, cross-lingual representation alignment, training-data optimization, and robust evaluation.
- Have a publication record in AI/ML conferences or workshops such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, or SIGIR.
