Responsibilities
- Build and own shared service scaffolding, logging, observability, authentication, libraries, SDKs, shared services, and agentic tooling.
- Identify recurring problems across product teams and determine which should be solved centrally.
- Maintain API compatibility and migrate live services to new foundations without downtime.
- Drive end-to-end adoption through rollout plans, migration tooling, upgrade guides, documentation, and hands-on support.
- Implement engineering standards through GitHub Actions policy checks, template governance, and dependency policies.
- Shape service development through design reviews, technical proposals, and production code.
- Measure platform adoption and reliability and report results across engineering.
Requirements
- Typically 5+ years of experience building production applications with Java and Spring.
- Experience building APIs, SDKs, shared libraries, or platform services that other engineers depend on.
- Strong judgment in platform design, abstraction, defaults, and extensibility.
- Experience driving cross-team change, migrations, and adoption.
- Ability to use and evaluate AI and agentic tooling, including MCP servers, agents, skills, and plugins.
- Clear technical writing skills for documentation and design proposals.
- Preferred experience supporting SaaS products and working with TypeScript or PHP.
- Affiliate & Partnerships Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA is a nice-to-have.
