Base Salary
$99k - $129k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software solutions based on requirements.
- Integrate and test software for computer-controlled electromechanical medical devices in an RTOS environment.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality code standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions.
- Troubleshoot software issues, multithreaded applications, and communication peripherals using debugging tools and lab equipment.
- Contribute to software design, test documentation, software risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Make design and implementation decisions within assigned tasks under guidance from senior engineers.
- Follow GxP regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and required training.
- Manage workload and schedule while meeting assigned targets and contributing to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related experience; alternatives include high school plus 10 years, associate degree plus 6 years, or an M.S. plus 0 years.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Preferred proficiency in C and C++ targeting embedded microcontrollers such as ST STM32, NXP, or similar.
- Preferred understanding of electronic circuitry and ability to read schematics.
- Preferred experience with board bring-up and peripherals including SPI, CAN, UART, I2C, Ethernet, ADCs, and DACs.
- Preferred component-level debugging experience on PCBAs or integrated products.
- Preferred proficiency with logic analyzers, in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes, and DVMs.
- Preferred understanding of embedded software architecture and design patterns.
- Preferred experience with RTOS platforms such as CMX, ThreadX, or similar.
