Responsibilities
- Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability practices.
- Lead incident response, war rooms, troubleshooting, and blameless post-mortems.
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing strategies.
- Maintain and scale Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Debug and resolve application and platform issues running on Kubernetes and Docker.
- Plan capacity, monitor performance, forecast resource needs, and scale infrastructure.
- Integrate security and compliance practices with automated vulnerability remediation.
- Create documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans while promoting SRE best practices.
- Partner with product and platform teams to standardize operational patterns and improve developer productivity.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of SRE principles, including SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, and incident management.
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience, including diagnosing pods, logs, events, probes, networking, resources, and volumes.
- Solid Linux fundamentals and deep proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Extensive experience with monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch.
- Practical AWS knowledge covering IAM, VPC and networking, EC2, EKS, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git workflows, and modern service lifecycles such as Java/Spring Boot.
- Ability to lead incident war rooms, communicate complex technical issues, work independently, and own solutions end to end.
- Comfort using AI coding and editing tools in software delivery.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, ECR, ALB/NLB, RDS, Parameter Store, Secrets Manager, OPA, Gatekeeper, Kyverno, chaos engineering, performance testing, and regulated release management.
