Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated test plans for software, hardware, firmware, and IC solutions.
- Create test requirements, methodologies, detailed test cases, documentation, and test reports.
- Debug hardware and software issues, analyze root causes, and distinguish software, hardware, and firmware defects.
- Develop GUI test automation and improve validation frameworks and test coverage.
- Analyze results, report defects, and support issue resolution with development and customer-facing teams.
- Collaborate with global teams and customers to validate digital controller solutions and drive product quality.
- Mentor team members, contribute to testing strategy, manage lab-related activities, and recommend process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
- 2–5 years of Software QA experience, including 8+ years testing software integrated with hardware or firmware.
- Experience with electronics, microcontroller programming, bus communications, and hardware/software debugging.
- GUI test automation experience using Python and tools such as Qt Squish or SmartBear TestComplete.
- Familiarity with lab test equipment, measurement tools, JIRA, version control, QA practices, and software/hardware development lifecycles.
- Ability to perform detailed manual and automated failure analysis, document test plans, mentor teams, and drive quality initiatives.
- Experience in electrical engineering, embedded testing, ICs, power engineering, semiconductors, or hardware/software test development is preferred.
