Base Salary
$120k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve core control, data, and observability systems for LiveKit Cloud.
- Implement resilient, region-spanning architectures that handle partial failures gracefully.
- Build libraries, protocols, and tooling to enhance reliability and developer velocity.
- Diagnose and improve critical paths using metrics, tracing, and real-world traffic insights.
- Shape new platform capabilities across identity, scheduling, observability, and distributed state management.
Requirements
- Experience designing and delivering distributed systems in production.
- Ability to take ownership of projects from prototype to monitoring and iteration.
- Comfortable with consensus, coordination, and distributed failure modes.
- Strong understanding of data flow, state, performance, and correctness in systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a focus on practical engineering.
