Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions across Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other relational database platforms.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, packages, schemas, and complex SQL queries.
- Design, develop, support, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation.
- Schedule, monitor, and support batch processing and data integration jobs using AutoSys or similar enterprise schedulers.
- Develop automation scripts using Unix/Linux shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent scripting languages.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Support database deployments and maintain development, testing, and production environments.
- Implement database security standards, access controls, encryption, and auditing requirements.
- Collaborate on data models and database architectures, and support system upgrades, migrations, and cloud modernization initiatives.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, document technical procedures and runbooks, and participate in on-call and production release activities.
- Mentor junior developers and establish database development best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on application development experience with a strong focus on database development.
- Strong SQL development experience across Microsoft SQL Server with T-SQL, Oracle with PL/SQL, MySQL, and other database platforms.
- Expertise in database design, normalization, data modeling, performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring.
- Hands-on ETL development and support experience, including data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience scheduling and managing batch jobs with AutoSys or similar enterprise schedulers.
- Strong Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting experience, plus scripting experience with Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong production support, incident management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, mentor junior developers, and establish development standards.
- A master's degree in Computer Science or Statistics is preferred.
